On January 28th, 2018 China Tea Auction of Old Tea was hosted by China Tea Co., Ltd. and jointly sponsored by Ali Auction and Googut Wine&Spirits Co., Ltd. With the auctioneer's hammer down, the last auction item was sold. The auction ended with a 100% turnover rate and a total value of 3.425 million Yuan.
To innovate the marketing mode, promote the brand, set up the standards and authority, and radically reform the old tea market, China Tea specially selected 18 brands of the most representative classic tea to participate in the auction, including ChinaTea, Seawall, Butterfly and Duoteli. Main auction items include the classic old tea produced in the 1970s to the beginning of the 2000s, Dahongyan tea produced in the 1970s, 8582 Green Seal blue cake tea with ChinaTea logo produced in 1993, Qianliang tea produced in 1983, 25-year Wuyi Mingcong, soil-free Black Box Liu Pao Tea produced in 2004 by China Tea. All the products under auction were certified by the Technical Committee of China Tea Company, an expert certification authority and attached with the certificates of collection with signature and seal.
