China Tea develops annual purchasing plans and places purchasing orders based on the procurement mode of "producing according to sales, and placing orders according to sales". China Tea signs purchasing agreements with tea farmers to increase farmers' income.
China Tea strengthens the publicity and education on fertilization and drug use for cooperated tea farmers, popularizes fertilization after testing soil, so as to avoid blind and excessive fertilization; develops measures without public hazards to prevent and control diseases and insect pests, , and reduces the use of pesticides. While helping tea farmers to become rich, China Tea also endeavers to improving their agricultural knowledge, protects the ecological environment, and develops ecological friendly agriculture.
China Tea continuously strengthens credit communication with its suppliers, and jointly forms a social responsibility system and strategic alliance in the supply chain management. It strives to transfer company’s social responsibility in the supply chain effectively. When the supplier has difficulty or fails to meet the requirements, China Tea would like to provide necessary resource and technical support to help suppliers fulfill their social responsibilities.
China Tea holds a tea health and safety work conference each year to educate the suppliers in terms of company’s social responsibility, to focus on social responsibility, healthy development and long-term interests. It actively implements corporate social responsibility management, andundertaks responsibility of protecting environment and laborers' rights while pursuing profits.
Around the theme of tea’s health functions, China Tea researched the health functions of China Tea ?100-year Wooden Warehouse dark tea of reducing hematic fat, reducing weight, and relaxing bowel, and standardized the fermentation process through strain development. China Tea’s patented strains obtained five items of national qualification authentication for genetic stability, drug resistance, and virulence.
China Tea has established a quality and safety management system for the whole supply chain from tea garden to tea cup, by successively passing the certification of ISO22000, ISO9001, ISO14000, ISO18000, HACCP, GAP, and other management systems. It innovatively adopted the unified management mode of "Outline for quality & safety risks control of the tea industry chain + Categorized control manuals", which has been operated effectively.
(1) China Tea compiled the Standards for Tea Industry Chain, covering nine links from product research and development, planting and harvest, preliminary & refined production and compression of compressed tea, procurement of raw and auxiliary material, inventory management of raw and auxiliary material, blending & processing, management of finished goods, inventory management of finished goods, circulation and distribution, established 60 measures of quantitative management and control, and standardized the construction of the industry chain.
(2) The tea garden base of China Tea passed the authentication of SAGP (Sustainable Agricultural Goal Project), with the content involving more than 100 indicators including corporate management system, tea garden ecosystem protection, water source conservation, comprehensive integrated management of agricultural products, soil conservation, comprehensive management of wastes, clean processing and production, agrochemical safe use, emergency plan and protection measures, long-term development planning, etc., covering nearly 20 laws and regulations such as the Law on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, Energy Conservation Law, Environmental Protection Law, Pesticide Management Regulations.
